One cannot forget the unique personality that characterized her as a fearless woman. Eloisa was the first family member who migrated to the United States. Also, her kindness towards her family and others was seen throughout her lifetime. She was always willing to help her family when needed and taught her daughters that one should always lean a hand to others and never deny a plate of food. Eloisa will be remembered for many reasons, but some of the family’s best memories would be her dedication to her favorite holidays such as Christmas, three king’s day, and New Years' day. Her patience and dedication to decorate the house with the Christmas tree, baby Jesus’ christening, and ornaments were amazing. She will also be remembered for her unique New Year rituals, especially how she would throw lentils and rice in the house to bring good luck to the family. Her best memories include her pot chicken, her desire to buy lottery tickets, and how there was always a pastry in her bag for her grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eloisa Perez Souza nacio Enero 25, 1931.
