Obituary of Dodie Karen Hogan

Dodie Karen Hogan, 76, of Aberdeen passed away on December 3, 2018. Born in Lubbock, TX, she was raised in New Orleans, LA, and lived in East Orange, Elizabeth and Roselle before moving to Aberdeen in 1993. While in Roselle, Dodie spent 25 years as a parishioner of St. Joseph the Carpenter RC Church, Roselle, where she was a member of their Rosary Confraternity and was a 3rd Order Lay Dominican. After moving to Aberdeen, she became a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Aberdeen. Dodie worked as a County Clerk for the Union County Courthouse, Elizabeth, for 21 years, retiring in 2010.

Beloved mother of Karen Zachok of West Milford, Edith Hogan of Bridgewater and Douglas Hogan of Aberdeen. Loving mother-in-law of the late Gregory Zachok. Cherished grandmother of Kathleen, Jeannette and Brianna. Dear sister of Edith Reynolds of Henderson, NV, Mark Oser of Corpus Christi, TX, Eric Oser of Santa Rosa, CA, Rev. Lance Oser of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Kacey Surratt of Valencia, CA, Stephanie McCutcheon of Denver, CO, and the late Jeff Oser.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Compassionate Cremation Services, Clifton.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the American Heart Association (www.Heart.org), The Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (mymsaa.org), or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org),  in Dodie’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
