Raymond C. Slater, 68, of Garfield, passed away on February 21, 2016. Born in Paterson, he lived in Little Falls, Paterson and Wayne before moving to Garfield in 1997. Raymond was a Buyer for Hygrade Business Group of Clifton for 10 years, retiring 6 years ago. Prior, he was the Director of Printing Services at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson for many years and was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. Beloved husband for 18 years of Susan (Schutz) Slater. Devoted father of Carly, Eddie, Spencer and Lara Slater, Nick and Kate Palko, and the late Raymond who passed away in November. Loving grandfather of 8. Services were private under the direction of Compassionate Cremation Services, 583 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
