James Reynolds

Obituary of James P. Reynolds

James P. Reynolds, 82, of Hardwick, after a long history of health complications and a great fight, Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and pastor on May 24, 2022. Jim loved his children and grandchildren.  He always supported and cared for his family the best way he knew how.  Jim and his late wife were devoted parishioners of Marksboro Community Church since 2016. He was a little league basketball, football and baseball coach during the 80's. He had a passion for food and recipes, gardening, the Yankees, music, old cars and jokes.  Jim and his partner owned and operated Landing Auto Body for many years, where they both took pride in their work and made sure the job was done right.   He was president of the Morris County Auto Body Association for a time during the 1980's. Jim was well known in the local industry for his impressive knowledge and keen eye of color matching before computers and technology took over. He was a long time Rotary member, where he continued to serve and volunteer his time even after his retirement as a very special person in December each year until 2019.  His dedication and service to Rotary earned him the Paul Harris Fellow Recognition. He will be missed by many.

Beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Pietrowicz) Reynolds who passed away in 2020. Devoted father of Deborah Hardy, Kathleen Stephany, Kelly Olswfski and Matt Reynolds. Loving grandfather of Jamie and John Walsh, Alicia and Faith Stephany, Jack, Benjamin and Aidan Olswfski and James Reynolds. Cherished great-grandfather of Odin James.
