Carolyn Shipley, 77, of Newark passed away on January 22, 2021. Born in East Orange, she was a resident of Newark for many years. Carolyn worked as a cafeteria worker for Clara Maas Hospital, Belleville, for 40 years before retiring.
Beloved wife of the late Howard Shipley, Jr.. Devoted mother of Alegra and Steven Shipley. Cherished grandmother of Nadiyah Brunson, Ashley Carter, Shaniqua Hammond, Dominique and Elijah Shipley. Loving sister of Charlene Jackson, Doyle Jackson, Jr. and Uzera Jackson. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements were private under the direction of Compassionate Cremation Services, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
